What kind of world do you envision for 2040? 

In which fields do you expect semiconductors to make a meaningful contribution to society?

What kind of society would you like to see realized through the contributions of semiconductors?
 

The SEMI Japan Sustainability Committee has created “2040 Future Visions, Shaped by Semiconductors” to explore the future of the semiconductor industry together with you.

Featuring Aito — Works at a semiconductor startup for energy-efficient designs, and Mirai — a digital art curator, this vision was created by sustainability members from the semiconductor industry—not through detailed expert analysis, but by imagining and exploring a possible future 15 years ahead with the help of AI.

We hope this vision sparks excitement among those working in the semiconductor industry as well as students aspiring to join it!

Special Gift for SEMICON Japan 2025 Visitors: “Future Visions plastic document folder”!

Visitors who view the Future Visions panels displayed in the West Atrium and complete a short survey will receive a Future Visions plastic document folder on a first‑come, first‑served basis. We hope this will inspire you to reflect on the future role of semiconductors in advancing sustainability and encourage you to consider the future shape of our society and the industry.
