The rapidly expanding market for semiconductors is expected to resume further growth next year. The technological advances in front-end/back-end materials are contributing greatly to this growth, and there is no doubt that Japan's materials industry plays an important role there. In this forum, analysts from Techcet and TechSearch International, the world's leading research and consulting firms specializing in semiconductor materials, as well as the top securities analyst in Japan covering the sector, will discuss the technology and market trends for the semiconductor materials industry, which is undergoing major changes such as the development of 2 nm process and the emergence of chiplets.

The semiconductor industry faced a continuing downturn in 2023. While expectations coming into 2024 were for a broad industry recovery, that failed to materialize. Instead, we have been experiencing a mixed recovery, with certain segments (i.e., AI-related) demonstrating strong growth and others (i.e., automotive, industrial) still waiting to see an upturn.
As we move into 2025 and beyond, prevailing innovations in new device structures, key to industry growth, will require new material and solutions. Given the ongoing trend of chip fab expansions, the semiconductor materials market is set to embrace an exciting period and is faced with a positive outlook for growth
概要:TBA
We believe that the semiconductor industry is in the “qualitative leap” towards “lower latency” and “lower power consumption”. The “leap” makes cost reduction in the FEOL processes be more challenging and the importance of BEOL / packaging has never been higher. In this seminar, we will examine the technology and market trends in the Japan Semiconductor material industries in the new era.
