The 2024 SEMICON STADIUM, themed "AI x Sports," was a great success, enjoyed by many visitors.

The demonstration of "CUE6," a giant 211cm tall AI basketball robot, alternated between a shooting workout and a long shot challenge and erupted in applause when long shots were made.

The table tennis robot "Forpheus" has the ability to communicate with the player, adjusting speed and giving advice to suit the player's level, and a demonstration was held for four world-class table tennis players, which was a huge success.
Baseball swing analysis using Fujitsu Human Motion Analytics

Baseball swing analysis output the aanalysis results immediately after swinging the bat without wearing sensors. The results showed
numbers, graphs and video showing speed and angle, making it easy to see areas for improvement, and many baseball fans enjoyed trying it out.
The fastest robot to solve a puzzle cube "TOKUFASTbot"

The robot "TOKUFASTbot" solved a puzzle cube in just 0.305 seconds, the fastest time in the world, and its astonishing speed drew huge cheers as soon as the demonstration began.
Nagasaki Miyu and Oshima Yuya came on December 12th, and Sakurai Hana and Harimoto Miwa, on the 13th and they gave a demonstration of a rally with FORPHEUS. All of the players were able to entertain the many visitors.

AI basketball robot "CUE6"

The latest model of the AI basketball robot, "CUE6", which holds two world records, will be coming to SEMICON JAPAN 2024!
The CUE series holds two world records: "Most consecutive basketball free throws by a humanoid robot (with assists)" in 2019, and "Longest basketball shot by a humanoid robot" in 2024 when it successfully took a long-distance shot of 24.55 meters.
The CUE series began with the development of the first CUE, which started as an independent activity within the company in 2017, and has continued to evolve since, making its debut with the professional basketball team "ALBARK Tokyo" in March 2018. After that, CUE2 and CUE3 were released, and CUE6 was unveiled on December 24, 2022.
The first CUE specialized in short-distance shoots, but the shooting distance has been expanded throughout the series, and CUE5 also showed off its dribbling and passing abilities. You can see the latest CUE6's demonstration at the venue.

The latest 9th generation of "FORPHEUS", a table tennis robot that symbolizes OMRON's core technology, will be unveiled for the first time at SEMICON STADIUM!
"FORPHEUS" is a robot that embodies OMRON's core technology "Sensing & Control + Think," introducing "harmony between humans and machines, where machines bring out human abilities and creativity."
It was created using OMRON's sensors, robots, controllers, and other control devices.
Based on the concept that "humans and machines can grow more by understanding each other," the latest 9th generation is the first to be equipped with a large-scale language model (LLM), and based on the concept that "humans and machines can grow more by understanding each other," it is possible to propose more sustainable rally conditions tailored to each individual based on the rally situation and conversation content with the player, and images of the player.
