Power Device Technological Development Trends and Product Strategies
East Hall 7
Tighter regulations by governments towards decarbonisation and growing demand for renewable energy are driving aggressive capital investment in power devices. Key persons from major Japanese power device manufacturers will provide easy-to-understand explanations of technology development trends and product strategies.

Power semiconductors can be compared to the heart and muscles of the human body, supplying and controlling electricity, and are indispensable devices for realizing Digital Transformation (DX) and Green Transformation (GX). In addition to conventional silicon (Si), Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation is developing silicon carbide (SiC) products with excellent voltage and thermal characteristics, and gallium nitride (GaN) products with superior high-frequency characteristics. We will introduce the latest technological developments and business strategies.
As the electrification of automobiles and the spread of renewable energy progresses toward the realization of a sustainable society, the efficiency and miniaturization of power conversion equipment play a major role in saving energy and resources, and power semiconductor devices are required to further reduce power loss and become smaller. This presentation will introduce the latest technology trends in power semiconductor devices.
