You need an email address in order to register. You can register using a free account such as one from Yahoo! or Google.

About Exhibiting at SEMICON Japan
Can booth fees be paid in US dollars or other foreign currency?
Payment must be made by wire transfer in Japanese yen only. Checks and credit cards are not accepted.
Where can I see a floor plan showing the available booth spaces?
Booth space will be assigned by SEMI Japan in July and August, after the application deadline and after receipt of payment. A floor plan showing booth numbers will be announced in mid September by E-mail. It will be also be accessible via the official website from September.
How can I find my booth number?
Booth space will be assigned by SEMI Japan in July and August, and a floor plan showing booth numbers will be announced in mid September.
How can I order booth decoration and other services?
SEMI Japan will publish an online Exhibitors Services Manual and an online application service called “Mypage” in mid September. Here exhibitors will be able to order a number of services including booth decoration. Prices will also be listed in the manual.
How can I reserve hotel accommodation?

I need a letter of invitation in order to apply for an entry visa to Japan.
SEMI Japan will contact exhibitors in China and CIS countries regarding this matter at the beginning of October. Exhibitors in other countries who need such support should contact Mr. Takashi Kato (tkato@semi.org). Please note that SEMI provides such support to exhibitors only. SEMI does not provide letters of invitation to visitors.

Abstracts of approximately 250 words and a 100-word speaker biography are due 23 June 2008 by e-mail, and must be printed on company letterhead. Abstracts must clearly detail the nature, scope, content, organization, key points and significance of the proposed paper.

Presentations on original, non-commercial and non-published works are being solicited in the following areas: multilevel interconnection, etching, lithography, mask, manufacturing science, advanced device, testing, packaging, micorosystem/MEMS.

Successful applicants will be notified by the end of July.

Can I submit a paper on a topic or theme other than those listed?
Yes. In such case, the author should clearly describe the nature, scope and key points of the proposed paper. However, judges may reject the paper on the grounds that it is not in line with the current year’s theme.

Can authors promote their own company’s products?
No. Presentations are to be original and non-commercial, focusing on the technical merits of a process rather than on those of an individual company's products.
