Supply Chain Excellence
Kazumasa Yoshida
Representative Director and President

Intel has a proven corporate wide program called SCQI that utilizes critical Intel supplier management tools and processes to drive continuous improvements in a supplier’s overall performance and business. The program also recognizes a supplier’s BCP (Business Continuity Plan) as one factor in its performance evaluation. Many suppliers in Japan are recognized by this program every year for their high attention to BCP. The impact to semiconductor factory operations caused by disrupted supply chains was a significant concern after the Great East Japan Earthquake since many semiconductor material and equipment suppliers were located in the affected area. ?Fortunately, we were able to minimize the negative impact through collaborative efforts and well-prepared supplies.? In this session, enhanced supply chain and activities with manufacturers will be introduced.
