On-site booth selection

The on-site booth selection (OSS) is a system adopted by the SEMICON events worldwide which allows exhibitors in one event to choose and reserve booths at the same SEMICON in the following year at the desired location and in size. In Japan, SEMICON Japan 2011 is the first year in which the on-site booth selection program will be offered to the exhibitors for the SEMICON 2012 event.

OSS Application

An exhibitor who wishes to reserve a booth through the OSS program must access the website below and complete an application form by November 20:

Japanese

The SEMICON Japan 2011 exhibitors and companies submitting the above survey and participating OSS will be notified of the specific date and time at which to visit the OSS office (the “Booth Reservation Time”) .

Advantages of the on-site booth selection:

1. Selection of a preferred booth location for the SEMICON Japan in the following year.
2. An OSS discount for booth fees.

A 5% discount on normal booth fees will be offered to exhibitors, both SEMI members and non-members. The discount applies to the reservations made during the OSS period only.

The booth size of "W 2 m × D 1 m" and "W 2 m × D 2 m" are excluded from this discount.

The order of the booth appointments for the OSS will be determined as follows:

1.The SEMI-member exhibitors in descending order of their accumulated priority points (see below for explanation of priority points);
2.Non-member exhibitors in descending order of the size of their booths;
3.If appointment times are in conflict, in the order of arrival at the OSS office.

How are priority points calculated for SEMICON Japan exhibitors?
•One point for the participation in a SEMICON Japan event (cumulative for participation as a SEMI member);
•Booth points are calculated and added each year starting with SEMICON Japan 2010;
•Calculation of booth points: Based on the booth size per participation in the SEMICON Japan event;
•Booth point = booth area in m2 ÷ 9 m2 × 0.25 points

Application procedures and deposit payment:

At the time of the on-site booth selection, the representative who is responsible for your exhibit (in the position of section manager or higher) must sign and seal the application in person. (Please be sure to bring the seal.) Upon the acceptance of your exhibit application, you will be sent an invoice for a deposit payable at a later date. Credit cards are accepted for the payment from within your country. The advance money equivalent to a twenty (20) percent of the booth fee shall be paid no later than the 25th of April of 2012.

Reservation by proxy:

If you are unable to be present at your designated selection time (or if you think you may be delayed getting to your assigned appointment time), you must return a “Proxy Statement” form to SEMI. SEMI Show Management will, at your assignment time, reserve what is, in its best judgement, the location that most closely represents the preferences indicated on your Application/Contract for Exhibit Space.
